The competitive multiplayer modes now feature a new momentum-based movement system designed to create more fluid action, with gamers using thrust jumps, wall runs, and slides, while still maintaining the ability to fire their weapons. Each character can be fully customized, and gamers can collect tokens to acquire new weapons and unlock new gear. Gamers take control of a group of supersoldiers as they make their way through expansive levels designed to accommodate four players. The story is set in the year 2065, when air defense systems have grown so advanced that most combat involves robotic humanoids battling behind enemy lines.
